holmes_minorToday is the day we remember the fight between Mr Sherlock Holmes and Professor James Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls.
In honour of the occasion, we would like you to submit obituaries for some of the many characters who we encounter in the writings of Dr Watson. Some, of course, meet their deaths during the stories, others will live on for many years until they too are taken by time.
Please post your obituaries as comments to this entry. Everyone is welcome to comment, even if you are not a member. It may be of assistance to our other readers if you indicate in the comment header where they may find your character.
Submissions are welcome not only today, but during the coming weeks.

Mr Alexander Holder (BERY)
It is with great regret the sudden death is announced of Mr Alexander Holder, of the banking firm of Holder & Stevenson, Threadneedle Street, London. He had made a good recovery from the illness brought on by a series of shocks a few years ago, but his heart could not withstand the latest misfortune.
He will be greatly missed by his loving (and now no longer broke) son, his niece and her four or five children.

Professor Pressbury (The Creeping Man)
