This month’s prompt is:
The March of Time
That is, modern technology. That is, brand-spanking-new Victorian and Edwardian technology!
What about Holmes making his own disguises using a sewing machine? Or we could witness his first go on on one of those newfangled telephones. Perhaps Mrs. Hudson uses some of her hard-earned landlady’s income to buy a vacuum cleaner! Or we could follow Watson as he learns to drive a motor car!
I will add here a couple of links to get the ideas flowing: one for the Victorian era and one for the Edwardian. But do feel free to do your own research too.
As always, you needn’t use the prompt if you don’t wish to. Once you’re a member, you can post what and when you want—as long as you keep to the 500 words or less wordcount and the ACD Holmes ‘verse. AUs, crossovers and fusions are all permitted, as long as the characters remain essentially recognisable as the original ACD versions.
Please see the profile for the full posting guidelines!
