January of course includes the day traditionally assigned to Holmes as his birthday—the Epiphany. So, the prompt for this month is:
Revelations
That is, in your fics we would like you to include some kind of sudden revelation. Lestrade abruptly solves a case that Holmes can’t. Holmes and Watson realise they haven’t actually seen Mrs. Hudson in a week. One character realises their feelings for another.
As always, you needn’t use the prompt if you don’t wish to. Once you’re a member, you can post what and when you want—as long as you keep to the 500 words or less wordcount and the ACD Holmes ‘verse. AUs, crossovers and fusions are all permitted, as long as the characters remain essentially recognisable as the original ACD versions.
