Welcome to our first activity post!
For this activity we have two illustrations taken from canon stories:

What you have to do is come up with a new story that fits both illustrations—in either order.
The image on the left is by Richard Gutschmidt and the one on the right is by W. H. Hyde. Both images come from Pinacotheca Holmesiana. And thank you to
okapi1895—this is a slight reworking of her idea of writing about a canon illustration.
Remember that the basic rule for
holmes_minor is that your piece must always be 500 words or less. AUs, crossovers and fusions are all permitted, as long as the characters remain essentially recognisable as the original ACD versions.
And you needn’t take part in the activity, if you don’t wish to. Once you’re a member, you can post what and when you want—as long as you keep to the wordcount and the ACD Holmes ‘verse.
Please see the profile for the full posting guidelines!

Date: 2016-04-16 06:44 am (UTC)You have a month to post - the last day being 14th May. And it's entirely up to you if you use a beta. I generally find with microfiction that it's fairly easy to pick up on any problems yourself.
