Title: Marble Arch
Form/Wordcount: 100
Characters/Pairings: Dr John Watson, Mr Sherlock Holmes
Rating: G
Warnings/Content: From 1851 to 1968 there was a three roomed police station inside Marble Arch. It had its use for Mr Sherlock Holmes.
A drabble written for Challenge 29: Arch on DW's DrabbleZone
Lestrade had invited us onto the roof of Marble Arch. From there Holmes was able to watch his suspect moving amongst the crowd milling around Speaker’s Corner. To the casual observer he might be taken to be a pickpocket, but the man was not there to steal small items from the unwary.
Suddenly, Holmes shouted, “Now!”
At a signal from Lestrade two officers moved through the crowd to apprehend both the suspect, now in possession of a small package, and the man who had passed it to him.
The package of state papers would be returned to their rightful owner.
