Holmes took a careful look round before replying, “On the contrary, Bradstreet. Once again it is a case where you see but you do not observe. This has been carefully arranged so you believe everything is in disarray, but there has been a logic to it, which will tell me a good deal. I am most certainly closer to identifying the perpetrators.”
