Holmes had suggested I might like to write up an account of his latest case, but I fear that even were I to change the names and location of the events it would still outrage a number of highly placed individuals, although it might give pleasure to many of my readers who are within the more general public.  In addition, when I include Inspector Lestrade and myself dressing up as nuns, my publisher may expert to incur the ire of the church hierarchy, and since this was by no means an insignificant element of the case, I cannot avoid mentioning it.

I had already come to this conclusion when I received a telegram from Mycroft Holmes which said, ‘UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS THE CASE TO BE PUBLISHED STOP ABSOLUTELY NONE MH’, which rather confirmed my decision.

Holmes was disappointed, for it did display his powers of deduction in a notable fashion, but I had to remind him of all those who would be affected by the publication.  I suspect even this would not have been sufficient argument, until I pointed out that this would reach the highest in the land, and he had no wish to upset her gracious majesty.
