Admin Post: Monthly Prompt: August

I am taking the opportunity, while it is quiet in 221B Baker Street, to post our monthly prompt.  It is inspired by a number of postcards which have been received over the last week or so.  That is to say, the postcards which are on display, not the ones which have been quickly hidden away and only looked at when Mrs Hudson and the housemaid are known to be out of the house.

So our prompt is

Sun, Sea and Sand

And you may write about one, two or all three of the items.  Anything, in fact, which speaks of the holiday period and its traditional fun. 

You aren't obliged to use the prompt if you don’t wish to. Once you’re a member, you can post what and when you want—just be sure to keep to the 500 words or less wordcount and what I understand is referred to as the ACD Holmes ‘verse. AUs, crossovers and fusions are all permitted, as long as the characters remain essentially recognisable as the original ACD versions.
