Holmes and I were resting on the bench by the village green prior to walking back to our cottage.  I had closed my eyes and was enjoying the feeling of spring sunshine on my face, while listening to Holmes talking about the importance of having different shades of green in our garden for the benefit of his bees, or something similar.  I admit to paying little attention. 

I did, however, hear Seth inviting me to join him in the Red Lion, and fear Holmes may have been a little green with envy at how much attention I gave this invitation.

Probably when he was a green youth, but he's too experienced now!
