Esme was looking out of the window watching the pedestrians making their way along Baker Street.  Suddenly she called out, “Now!”  Immediately, she, Mrs Hudson and Billy took up their positions.

Sherlock Holmes came in through the front door and started walking upstairs.  Instantly, Mrs Hudson opened the door to her rooms, brandishing a very singed tablecloth.  At the same time, Esme stood on the stairs above, polishing the banisters, whilst Billy began to scrub the stairs below.

Holmes looked round in desperation, but it was clear he was trapped and would have to face the wrath of his landlady.

I can see them all in the kitchen beforehand - Mrs. Hudson chalking their planned manoeuvres up on the blackboard while Esme and Billy pay close attention. Mrs. Hudson clearly has a very tactical mind ^__^
