Warning/Content: The Sloth is complaining about an article he can't read.

 

The Sloth peered at the sheet of copy he had received.  “I know, theoretically, typed material should be easier to read, but I’m not convinced that’s always the case.”

“Is it mine?” Poley asked.  “I sometimes have a bit of a problem hitting the right key.”

“My dear Poley,” the Sloth replied.  “I’m quite used to the odd spelling mistake and typo; I can even normally decipher the Ferret’s contribution, but this…”  He waved a sheet of paper in the air, before passing it over to her to examine.

“Oh dear,” she said.  “Perhaps Mr Holmes decided to write in code.”

Dr Watson overheard their conversation and suggested Poley pass him the offending article.  “Ah yes,” he said.  “Holmes decided to demonstrate how easy it was to type without looking at the keys.  It didn’t help when he got his tie caught in the space bar, so there are spaces in the middle of words and nothing where they’re supposed to be.”

“I don’t think I shall have time to work my way through it all,” the Sloth said with a sigh.

“I shouldn’t worry.  Just tell Holmes unfortunately you were short of space this edition and his article had to be left out.”

“Do you think he’ll mind?” Poley asked.

Watson laughed.  “No, it would never have been a bestseller.”
