It was the early stages of rehearsal for the Ferret’s latest production, featuring two star-crossed lovers.  Mouselet was standing on top of a makeshift balcony, whilst the Ferret swung on a rope ladder which was attached to the front of the balcony.

FERRET
Mouselet, Mouselet
I’m singing to you a song

MOUSELET
He’s got no chance
The balcony is not strong

As if to prove the point there is an ominous creaking sound

FERRET
I’m determined to make you my bride

MOUSELET
Have you seen the crack’s quite wide?

FERRET
I’ll give you my heart, we’ll never part

The front half of the balcony surrenders to the forces of gravity and it, the rope ladder and the Ferret fall to the ground

MOUSELET
I told you the idea was wrong!

I love that the front half of the balcony breaks off on "we'll never part" ^____^ And I love the image of the Ferret swinging on the rope ladder ^___^ Oh, poor Ferret though ^^"
