Many happy returns, ma’am:-)
Ahem...

Simpson’s; one fine August evening,
Staff are bustling to and fro;
Streamers strewn in jewel like splendour,
Flatware gleaming, cloth like snow.
Mrs Hudson’s clear instructions;
Every detail set as planned.
Jelly set in sparkling dishes,
Cake on rose-sprigged porcelain stand.
Books are sourced and stacked on chairs
For several guests, height compromised,
(Ferret, mouse and ocelot
Allowed if closely supervised.)
Porcupine gets extra cushions;
Health and safety rules apply.
Name cards penned in swirling letters,
Splendid banner pinned on high.
Guests arrive, a cheerful flurry,
Mrs Hudson greets them all;
Ladies, tenants, Scotland Yarders
Friends and neighbours, great and small.
Food and drink and cheerful chaos,
Conversations ebb and flow
(Mouselet rearranged the name cards;
Best beloved placed just so...)
Ferret sighs; quite full, contented,
Lifts his glass to raise a toast.
Health and happiness is wished
For all; the birthday girl, the most.

At last just crumbs and blown-out candles,
Tired and happy smiles remain.
A note on silver plate is passed
To Mrs H, the purpose plain...
The bill is checked,
The guests agree
One final, fairly subtle touch;
In honour of Miss Frankles day..
Decision made;
They’ll all go Dutch...

Oh, this is splendid. It makes for a great scene. I like that there was accommodation made for Inky Quill! I too like the jelly and cake line and the punch line, of course. Lovely!
