Sherlock Holmes stood at the edge of the cliff and watched the waves as they rolled in and broke on the shore.  The sea was a dull grey, reflecting the cloud-covered sky, and Holmes shivered and pulled his overcoat closer.  The waves were relentless, pounding away and breaking down the rocks they encountered.  It was, he thought, a rather dismal prospect.

The sound of a footstep caused him to turn and he smiled as he greeted the newcomer.

“I’ve brought your scarf,” Dr Watson said.  “I see you’ve discovered it’s colder out here than you thought.”

A much warmer prospect.
