“We need a filler for the next edition,” the Sloth said.  “I was thinking we could have an article on patron saints.”

“That’s a good idea.  Ours is Saint Clare of Assisi,” Aemelia Vole said.

“She’s the patron saint of needlework and lace,” Mouselet added.

“Ours would be Saint Augustine of Hippo,” the Sloth said.  “The patron saint of printers.”

“Also, there’s Saint John the Evangelist,” the Ocelot said.  “Responsible for engravers and printers.”

“And what about me?” the Ferret asked.

“Saint Jude, obviously,” the Ocelot replied.

“Oh, why’s that?”  

The Sloth grinned.  “He’s the patron saint of lost causes.”
