Title: Snakes and Ladders
Form/Word count: 100
Characters/Pairing: Dr John Watson
Rating: G
Warning/Content:  Written for DW's Drabblezone, "Fun and Games" prompt.  Apologies to [livejournal.com profile] okapi1895 for borrowing one of her characters.

“What on earth?” Dr Watson asked on entering 221B.

“It’s a living game of snakes and ladders,” the Ocelot explained.  “The Sloth constructed the little ladders.  Mister No-Legs is one of the snakes, and the Ferret is doing an unconvincing version of the other.  Mouselet and Aemilia are taking the part of the counters.”

“The trouble is,” the Sloth said, “Inspector Hopkins is winning every game, because Mouselet keeps cheating by refusing to go down the snakes.”

“He deserves to win,” Mouselet squeaked.

Dr Watson woke with a start.  He really shouldn’t have eaten so much Stilton the previous night.
