The upper floor, however, was cold, and we got into the habit of brushing our teeth very quickly in the morning or evening, before scurrying either towards the heat of downstairs or to our bed. I really like that bit of description. And you show so much kindness and thoughtfulness in Holmes and Watson's relationship.
