“What’s so amusing, Watson?” Sherlock Holmes asked one morning, when he heard the doctor chuckling to himself.

“It’s this article in my newspaper,” Watson replied, glancing up.  “It’s all about the myth of the Loch Ness Monster.  The writer seems to believe Nessie doesn’t exist.”

“That’s quite ridiculous,” Mouselet protested.  “She sends us a Christmas card every year.”

“And we send her one in return,” Aemelia Vole added.  “Surely that doesn’t mean we won’t be sending her one in the future?”

“Oh no,” Watson said.  “We’ll send her a lovely card again this year, with perhaps some mythletoe on it.”
