Christmas Carols



Pick a carol and use it as inspiration for a fic! Here are some examples of possible plots:


Away in a Manger - a character is being a 'dog in the manger'

Carol of the Bells - a case takes Holmes and Watson around the churches of London

I Saw Three Ships (Come Sailing In) - Watson gets a new sea novel for Christmas and gets rather too involved in it

In the Bleak Midwinter - the weather is taking a turn for the worse and Mrs. Hudson has lost her door key

O Come, All Ye Faithful - Holmes is giving a talk on how to be a detective; Watson worries about how many people are actually going to turn up

We Three Kings of Orient Are - three kings come to ask for Holmes' help simultaneously



As always, you needn’t use this prompt if you don’t wish to. Once you’re a member, you can post what and when you want—as long as you keep to the 500 words or less wordcount and the ACD Holmes ‘verse. AUs, crossovers and fusions are all permitted, as long as the characters remain essentially recognisable as the original ACD versions.
