The first of this month’s prompts is:


Transformation


Specifically, we’re talking about turning points in the characters’ lives—turning points large and small. For example, the moment Mrs. Hudson realises she actually likes having Holmes and Watson living with her, despite it all. Or the moment a young Holmes feels like an accomplished violinist, rather than a mere beginner. Or the moment a young Watson decides to become a doctor.


And we also have a second alternative prompt to offer you:


Easter eggs


Hide ‘Easter eggs’ in your fic by picking one or more quotations from canon and then incorporating them into your fic in such a way that they are as inconspicuous as possible.


Or if you’re feeling particularly bold, please feel free to use both prompts!


As always, you needn’t use these prompts if you don’t wish to. Once you’re a member, you can post what and when you want—as long as you keep to the 500 words or less wordcount and the ACD Holmes ‘verse. AUs, crossovers and fusions are all permitted, as long as the characters remain essentially recognisable as the original ACD versions.
