Welcome to the June activity post!
As it went so well last time (^^"), we thought we'd have another try at the two illustrations activity.
You might remember that for this one, we select two illustrations from canon stories:

What you have to do is come up with a new story that fits both illustrations—in either order.
Some thoughts to get you started:
Is Holmes working on his new hypnotism act?
Is he perhaps sleepwalking?
Have Watson's braces snapped?
Are the ladies so shocked because the gentleman has split his trousers?
Just what has the gentleman seen in the skirting board?
The first image is by Sidney Paget and the second is by W. H. Hyde. Both images come from Pinacotheca Holmesiana.
Remember that the basic rule for
holmes_minor is that your piece must always be 500 words or less. AUs, crossovers and fusions are all permitted, as long as the characters remain essentially recognisable as the original ACD versions.
And you needn’t take part in the activity, if you don’t wish to. Once you’re a member, you can post what and when you want—as long as you keep to the wordcount and the ACD Holmes ‘verse.
Please see the profile for the full posting guidelines!
