Summary: Mycroft gets a visitor on Christmas Eve.
Author’s Notes: For the monthly prompt: animal + precious metal/stone. The notion of recursive ravens is from SCFrankles tumblr reblog of the Listing to Port tumblr. Also, I have written a couple of ficlets about my head canon that the knife used to affix unanswered correspondence to the mantelpiece of 221b was used by Grandmother Holmes to slit the throat of a Barbary pirate. Here I suppose there were two knives, the younger grandson got the utilitarian and the older grandson, the ornamental of the set.
