“When you’re smiling”

Mouselet and Aemelia Vole put their paws over their ears.

“When you’re smiling”

Dr Watson muttered “Please, no!” to himself.

“The whole world smiles with you”

The three looked at each other and shook their heads.

“When you’re crying, you bring on the rain”

A small umbrella appeared between the curtains, which were unaccountably closed.

“So stop your sighing, be happy again”

The curtains were flung open to reveal a rather overcast afternoon.  There was a thud as the Ferret fell off the windowsill.

“Keep on smiling”

“Ferret, do shut up, there’s a good fellow,” Mouselet said.
