One of my favorite moments in Granada Holmes is in "Abbey Grange" when a witness credits his own thorough research to "Dr. Watson's scholarly accounts of your work" to a peeved Holmes - and Watson gives him a triumphant look. (The story had opened with Holmes and Watson arguing about Watson's writing.)
