The laughter wrinkles the skin around his eyes and brackets his mouth. The creases are deeper now than they were before he left. To think that I have a chance to notice the difference!

Laughing like this after years of absence is a balm on a hurt which I had become numb to. I love those details ^___^

It's such a wonderful moment to home in on - the simple joy of being reunited.
